Recall 00V392000: Rear Center Seat Belt Too Short

Incorrect beige rear center seat belt webbing was installed. The belt length is too short.

The seat occupant would not be properly restrained in the event of a crash.

Dealers will replace all beige colored rear center lap/shoulder belts with Lot Number 0171.

Owner notification is expected to begin during December 2000. Owners who take their vehicles to an authorized dealer on an agreed upon service date and do not receive the free remedy within a reasonable time should contact Subaru at 1-800-782-2783.
