Volume Speed Control and Illumination Brightness
Introduction
If you encounter a customer complaint that the volume speed control is inoperative and the illumination brightness control can not be set to the highest setting, a countermeasure Audio T-Harness is now available to remedy the condition. The Audio T-harness is part of the Accessory Bluetooth(R) BlueConnect(R) Kit and is installed during the installation of the accessory.
Refer to the repair procedure listed below for replacing just the harness.

Harness Identification
A blue wire was added to the harness.
Repair Procedure/Information
1) Record pre-set radio stations.
2) Disconnect negative battery cable.
3) Remove audio unit (refer to the applicable service manual).
4) Disconnect T-harness from audio unit and vehicle wiring harness.
5) Unscrew the posi-tap connector end (A) and wire (B) from posi-tap connector (C).
6) Remove the insulation from the end of the single blue wire of the new T-harness.
7) Insert the wire into the posi-tap connector end (A) and screw it into the posi-tap connector (C).
8) Connect T-harness to audio until and vehicle wiring harness.
9) Install audio unit in reverse order of removal.
10) Connect negative battery cable.
11) Reset radio pre-set radio stations and set clock.
