WIPER/WASHER SWITCH TEST

Fig. 11 Wiper/Washer Switch Test:

Refer to Fig. 11, while using a circuit tester to measure switch for terminal to terminal continuity.

AUTOMATIC STOP ACTION TEST

Fig. 12 Automatic Stop Action Test:

1. Connect battery positive terminal to No. 3 terminal of motor and battery negative terminal to black lead wire on motor, then connect a jumper between No. 1 and No. 4 terminals of motor, Fig. 12.
2. Motor output shaft should come to a halt at a certain angular position, corresponding to starting position of wiper blade.
3. Stop motor a number of times, and ensure motor stops in same position each time.

WIPER MOTOR SPEED TEST

Fig. 13 Wiper Motor Speed Test:

1. Connect battery positive terminal to No. 1 terminal of motor and battery negative terminal to black lead wire on motor, Fig. 13. Ensure motor rotates at low speed of 47-57 RPM.
2. Connect battery positive terminal to No. 2 terminal of motor and battery negative terminal to black lead wire on motor. Ensure motor rotates at high speed of 70-84 RPM.
