Monitor Strategy Description
Determines if an engine vacuum leak exists.
The large MAP estimate correction at idle indicates a failure. Under idle conditions, the MAP estimate correction is a weighted difference between the predicted MAP and the actual MAP reading.
Malfunction Criteria
Current IC value > 12 kPa/sec
Enable Conditions
Normal Idle conditions = TRUE boolean
AND Canister Purge Fuel Flow <= 100 g/sec.
AND Barometric Pressure > 72 kPa
AND Engine Run Time >= 2 s
AND Air Intake Temperature >= -20 °C
AND Coolant Temperature >= -10 °C
AND Ignition Voltage >= 11 V
AND Ignition Voltage <= 16 V
AND Enable Conditions Timer > 3 s
AND Instrumentation slew commanded = FALSE boolean
AND OFVC Device Control = FALSE boolean
