Cylinder Block Heater Removal and Installation (If Equipped)

Removal
1) Disconnect negative (-) cable from battery.
2) Drain coolant.
3) Remove A/C condenser cooling fan.
^ Manual A/C model:
^ Auto A/C model:
4) Remove exhaust manifold cover.
5) Remove engine block heater (1).








Installation
Reference: Cylinder Block Heater Inspection (If Equipped)

Reverse removal procedure for installation noting the following.
^ Use new cylinder block heater bolts.
^ Tighten cylinder block heater bolts (1) to specified torque.

Tightening torque
Cylinder block heater bolt (a): 11 Nm (1.1 kg-m, 8.5 lbf-ft)





^ Refill coolant.
^ Check for coolant leaks.
