Spark Plug Inspection

CAUTION:
- When servicing an iridium spark plug, do not touch the center electrode. The center electrode on this type of spark plug is slender and can be damaged if a mechanical force is applied.
- Do not clean or adjust gap for the iridium spark plugs.

Check spark plug for:
- Air gap
- Electrode wear
- Carbon deposits
- Insulator damage

If any abnormality is found for nickel spark plugs, adjust air gap, clean with spark plug cleaner or replace them with specified new plugs.
For iridium spark plugs, replace them with specified new plugs if abnormal condition is found in the above check.
