DTC Detecting Condition and Trouble Area

DTC Troubleshooting
1. Was "Air Bag Diagnostic System Check" performed?
YES
Go to Step 2.
NO
Go to Air Bag Diagnostic System Check Air Bag Diagnostic System Check.
2. Instrument panel harness circuit check
Confirm that ignition mode of keyless push start system is in "OFF".
Disconnect "G347" and "G11" connectors.
Release shorting bar in SDM connector inserting release tool included in special tool (A).
Push engine switch to change ignition mode of keyless push start system to "ON".
Check the following points.
Voltage between each of "A1" and "A2" circuits and ground (DTC B1034): 0 V
Voltage between each of "A3" and "A4" circuits and ground (DTC B1038): 0 V
Special Tool
(A): 09932-76010
Are they in good condition?
YES
Go to Step 4.
NO
Replace instrument panel harness.
3. Contact coil circuit check
Confirm that ignition mode of keyless push start system is in "OFF".
Connect "G347" connector.
Remove driver air bag (inflator) module from steering column. Removal and Installation
Release shorting bar in SDM connector inserting release tool included in special tool (A).
Push engine switch to change ignition mode of keyless push start system to "ON".
Check the following points.
Voltage between each of "A1" and "A2" circuits and ground (DTC B1034): 0 V
Voltage between each of "A3" and "A4" circuits and ground (DTC B1038): 0 V
Special Tool

Are they in good condition?
YES
Substitute a known-good SDM and recheck DTC. SDM Removal and Installation
NO
Replace contact coil assembly. Steering Wheel and Column Components
NOTE:
Upon completion of inspection and repair work, perform the following items.
- Reconnect all air bag system components and ensure all components are properly mounted.
- Clear DTCs, referring to DTC Clearance DTC Clearance
if any DTC is detected.
- Repeat Air Bag Diagnostic System Check Air Bag Diagnostic System Check
to confirm that the trouble has been solved.
