DTC Detecting Condition and Trouble Area

DTC Troubleshooting


1. Was "Air Bag Diagnostic System Check" performed?
YES
Go to Step 2.
NO
Go to Air Bag Diagnostic System Check Air Bag Diagnostic System Check.
2. DTC check
Confirm that ignition mode of keyless push start system is in "OFF".
Connect scan tool to DLC.
Push engine switch to change ignition mode of keyless push start system to "ON".
Check if any of following DTC is output.
B1073 or B1074 (DTC B1071 or DTC B1072)
B1077 or B1078 (DTC B1075 or DTC B1076)
Is relevant DTC output?
YES
Go to applicable DTC diag. flow.
NO
Go to Step 3.
3. Forward impact sensor check
Substitute a known-good forward impact sensor and recheck DTC.
Is DTC detected?
YES
Substitute a known-good SDM and recheck DTC. SDM Removal and Installation
NO
End.

NOTE:

Upon completion of inspection and repair work, perform the following items.

- Reconnect all air bag system components and ensure all components are properly mounted.
- Clear DTCs, referring to DTC Clearance DTC Clearance
if any DTC is detected.
- Repeat Component Tests and General Diagnostics "AIR BAG" Warning Light Check
to confirm that the trouble has been solved.
