DTC Troubleshooting


1. Was "Air Bag Diagnostic System Check" performed?
YES
Go to Step 2.
NO
Go to Air Bag Diagnostic System Check Air Bag Diagnostic System Check.
2. Instrument panel harness circuit check
Confirm that ignition mode of keyless push start system is in "OFF".
Disconnect "G11" "G335" connectors.
Check the following points.
Resistance of "A5", "A6", "A7" and "A8" circuits: 1 or less
Special Tool

(A): 09932-76010

Are they in good condition?
YES
Go to Step 3.
NO
Replace instrument panel harness.
3. Instrument panel harness circuit
Check the following points.
Resistance between "G11-10" and "G11-9" terminals (DTC B1073 / B1074): infinity
Resistance between "G11-11" and "G11-12" terminals (DTC B1077 / B1078): infinity
Special Tool

(A): 09932-76010

Is each measured resistance infinity?
YES
Go to Step 4.
NO
Replace instrument panel harness.
4. Instrument panel harness circuit check
Push engine switch to change ignition mode of keyless push start system to "ON".
Check the following points.
Resistance between each of "A5" and "A6" circuits and ground (DTC B1073 / B1074): infinity
Resistance between each of "A7" and "A8" circuits and ground (DTC B1077 / B1078): infinity
Special Tool

Are they in good condition?
YES
Go to Step 5.
NO
Replace instrument panel harness.
5. Instrument panel harness circuit check
Push engine switch to change ignition mode to "ON".
Check the following points.
Voltage between each of "A5" and "A6" circuits and ground (DTC B1073 / B1074): 0 V
Voltage between each of "A7" and "A8" circuits and ground (DTC B1077 / B1078): 0 V

Is each measured voltage 0 V?
YES
Go to Step 6.
NO
Replace instrument panel harness.
6. Main harness circuit check
Disconnect "E40" or "E41" connector.
Check the following points.
Resistance of "A1" and "A2" circuits (DTC B1073 / B1074): 1 or less
Resistance of "A3" and "A4" circuits (DTC B1077 / B1078): 1 or less
Special Tool

Are they in good condition?
YES
Go to Step 7.
NO
Replace main harness.
7. Main harness circuit check
Check the following points.
Resistance between "E40-1" and "E40-2" terminals (DTC B1073 / B1074): infinity
Resistance between "E41-1" and "E41-2" terminals (DTC B1077 / B1078): infinity
Special Tool

Are they in good condition?
YES
Go to Step 8.
NO
Replace main harness.
8. Main harness circuit check
Push engine switch to change ignition mode to "ON".
Check the following points.
Resistance between each of "A1" and "A2" circuits and ground (DTC B1073 / B1074): infinity
Resistance between each of "A3" and "A4" circuits and ground (DTC B1077 / B1078): infinity
Special Tool

Are they in good condition?
YES
Go to Step 9.
NO
Replace main harness.
9. Main harness circuit check
Push engine switch to change ignition mode of keyless push start system to "ON".
Check the following points.
Voltage between each of "A1" and "A2" circuits and ground (DTC B1073 / B1074): 0 V
Voltage between each of "A3" and "A4" circuits and ground (DTC B1077 / B1078): 0 V
Special Tool

Are they in good condition?
YES
Go to Step 10.
NO
Replace main harness.
10. Forward impact sensor check
Substitute a known-good forward impact sensor and recheck DTC.
Is DTC detected?
YES
Substitute a known-good SDM and recheck DTC. SDM Removal and Installation
NO
End.

NOTE:

Upon completion of inspection and repair work, perform the following items.

- Reconnect all air bag system components and ensure all components are properly mounted.
- Clear DTCs, referring to DTC Clearance DTC Clearance
if any DTC is detected.
- Repeat Air Bag Diagnostic System Check Air Bag Diagnostic System Check
to confirm that the trouble has been solved.
