DTC Confirmation Procedure

1) Remove remote controller battery. Service and Repair
2) Touch remote controller to engine switch and change ignition mode to "ON".

DTC Troubleshooting


1. Engine switch signal circuit check
Confirm that ignition mode of keyless push start system is in "OFF".
Disconnect "G140" and "G04" connectors.
Check for proper terminal connection to "G140" and "G04" connectors.
If connections are OK, check the following points.
Resistance of "A1", "A2", "A3" and "A4" circuits: less than 3
Resistance between "A1", "A2", "A3", "A4" circuits and ground: infinity
Resistance between circuit terminal and other terminals at "G140" connector.
Are they in good condition?
YES
Go to Step 2.
NO
Repair or replace defective wire harness.
2. DTC check
Replace engine switch. Engine Switch Removal and Installation
Perform DTC Confirmation Procedure
and then recheck DTC.
Is DTC B1189 still detected?
YES
Replace keyless start control module and recheck DTC. Service and Repair
NO
End. (Engine switch was faulty)
