DTC Detecting Condition and Trouble Area

DTC Troubleshooting
1. Was "Air Bag Diagnostic System Check" performed?
YES
Go to Step 2.
NO
Go to Air Bag Diagnostic System Check Air Bag Diagnostic System Check.
2. Side (rear) air bag (inflator) module check
Confirm that ignition mode of keyless push start system is in "OFF".
Disconnect "L260" or "L261" connector.
Connect "STEERING WHEEL" (1) of special tool (A), (B) and (C) to "L260" or "L261".
Special Tool
(A): 09932-76010
(B): 09932-78310
(C): 09932-75010
Check DTC with ignition mode of keyless push start system in "ON".
Is DTC B1232 or DTC B1236 indicated?
YES
Go to Step 3.
NO
Replace defective rear side air bag (inflator) module. Removal and Installation
3. Floor harness circuit check
Disconnect "L04" or "L05" connector.
Release shorting bar in SDM connector inserting release tool included in special tool (A).
Check the following points.
Resistance between "L04-1" and "L04-2" terminals (DTC B1232): infinity
Resistance between "L05-3" and "L05-4" terminals (DTC B1236): infinity
Special Tool
(A): 09932-76010
Are they in good condition?
YES
Substitute a known-good SDM and recheck DTC. SDM Removal and Installation
NO
Replace floor harness.
NOTE:
Upon completion of inspection and repair work, perform the following items.
- Reconnect all air bag system components and ensure all components are properly mounted.
- Clear DTCs, referring to DTC Clearance DTC Clearance
if any DTC is detected.
- Repeat Air Bag Diagnostic System Check Air Bag Diagnostic System Check
to confirm that the trouble has been solved.
