DTC Detecting Condition and Trouble Area

DTC Troubleshooting
1. Was "Air Bag Diagnostic System Check" performed?
YES
Go to Step 2.
NO
Go to Air Bag Diagnostic System Check Air Bag Diagnostic System Check.
2. Lap pretensioner circuit check
Confirm that ignition mode of keyless push start system is in "OFF".
Remove center pillar lower trim of applicable side. Service and Repair
Disconnect "L284" or "L310" connector.
Check for proper connection to "L284" or "L310" connector.
Connect special tools (A), (B) and (C) to "L284" or "L310" connector disconnected in Step 3).
Special Tool
(A): 09932-76010
(B): 09932-75010
(C): 09932-78310
Check DTC with ignition mode of keyless push start system in "ON".
Is DTC B1344 or DTC B1348 indicated?
YES
Go to Step 3.
NO
Substitute a known-good SDM and recheck DTC. SDM Removal and Installation
3. Lap pretensioner circuit check
Disconnect special tools from applicable lap pretensioner connector.
Disconnect "L04" or "L05" connector.
Check for proper connection to "L04-7" and "L04-8" terminals (for DTC B1344) or "L05-19" and "L05-18" terminals (for DTC B1348).
Release shorting bar in SDM connector inserting release tool included in special tool (A).
Special Tool
(A): 09932-76010
Push engine switch to change ignition mode to "ON".
Check the following points.
Voltage between each of "A1" and "A2" circuits (DTC B1344): 0 V
Voltage between each of "A3" and "A4" circuits (DTC B1348): 0 V
Are they in good condition?
YES
Substitute a known-good SDM and recheck DTC. SDM Removal and Installation
NO
Repair short to power supply in defective circuit.
NOTE:
Upon completion of inspection and repair work, perform the following items.
- Reconnect all air bag system components and ensure all components are properly mounted.
- Clear DTCs, referring to DTC Clearance DTC Clearance
, if any DTC is detected.
- Repeat Air Bag Diagnostic System Check Air Bag Diagnostic System Check
to confirm that the trouble has been solved.
