DTC Detecting Condition and Trouble Area

DTC Troubleshooting


1. Was "Air Bag Diagnostic System Check" performed?
YES
Go to Step 2.
NO
Go to Air Bag Diagnostic System Check Air Bag Diagnostic System Check.
2. DTC check
Confirm that ignition mode of keyless push start system is in "OFF".
Connect scan tool to DLC.
Push engine switch to change ignition mode of keyless push start system to "ON".
Check if any of the following DTC is detected.
B1392 or B1393 (DTC B1390, B1391 or DTC B1394)
B1397 or B1398 (DTC B1395, B1396 or DTC B1399)
Is relevant DTC detected?
YES
Go to applicable DTC troubleshooting.
NO
Go to Step 3.
3. Side rear air bag sensor check
Substitute a known-good side rear air bag sensor and recheck DTC.
Is DTC detected?
YES
Substitute a known-good SDM and recheck DTC. SDM Removal and Installation
NO
End.

NOTE:

Upon completion of inspection and repair work, perform the following items.

- Reconnect all air bag system components and ensure all components are properly mounted.
- Clear DTCs, referring to DTC Clearance DTC Clearance
if any DTC is detected.

- Repeat Air Bag Diagnostic System Check Air Bag Diagnostic System Check
to confirm that the trouble has been solved.
