DTC Troubleshooting
NOTE:
- When DTC B1513, B1514, B1517 and/or B1531 is detected, check that there is any obstruction in opening range of actuator linkage.
- This flow shows "DTC B1513: Driver Side Temperature Control Actuator (Motor) and/or Its Circuit Malfunction".
- Check "DTC B1514 / B1517 / B1531" in the same manner as "DTC B1513" referring to the following table.
1. Scan tool parameter check
Check "Air Mix Pos Sen (Driver)" using "Data list" mode on SUZUKI scan tool. Scan Tool Testing and Procedures
Is it in good condition?
YES
Intermittent trouble.
NO
Go to Step 2.
2. Driver side temperature control actuator circuit check
Disconnect "G20" and driver side temperature control actuator connectors.
Check the following points.
Resistance of "GRY" and "GRY/BLK" wire circuits: less than 1
Resistance of "GRY" and "GRY/BLK" wire circuits between driver side temperature control actuator and ground: infinity
Are they in good condition?
YES
Go to Step 3.
NO
Repair or replace defective wire harness.
3. Driver side temperature control actuator check
Check driver side temperature control actuator. Temperature Control Actuator Inspection
Is it in good condition?
YES
Replace HVAC control module and recheck DTC. HVAC Control Module Removal and Installation
NO
Replace driver side temperature control actuator. Temperature Control Actuator Removal and Installation
