1. Was "EPS System Check" performed?
YES
Go to Step 2.
NO
Go to "EPS System Check".
2. DTC check
Check DTC.
Is there DTC(s) other than C1164?
YES
Go to troubleshooting for applicable DTC(s).
NO
Go to Step 3.
3. BCM check
Check BCM.
Is it in good condition?
YES
Substitute a known-good P/S control module and recheck DTC. Service and Repair
NO
Substitute a known-good BCM and recheck DTC. Service and Repair
