Precautions for Vehicle Equipped with ESP(R) System

- When testing an ESP(R) system equipped vehicle with any of the following or similar equipment by rotating wheels (tires) under vehicle stop condition, be sure to deactivate ESP(R) system referring to Programming and Relearning Sensor Calibration of ESP(R)
to obtain correct data.

- 2- or 4-wheel chassis dynamometer
- Speedometer tester
- Brake tester

ESP(R) Control Module

- When ESP(R) control module is removed / installed, do not use an impact wrench, as shock it generates may damage the sensors in the ESP(R) control module.
- After performing any of the following operations, calibrate the steering angle sensor referring to Programming and Relearning Sensor Calibration of ESP(R).

- Replacement of steering angle sensor
- Replacement of ESP(R) control module
