Precautions for Diagnosing Trouble

- Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) is controlled by keyless start control module. Before confirming diagnosing troubles, refer to Precautions for Diagnosing Trouble Precautions for Diagnosing Trouble.
- When driving under any of the following conditions, keyless start control module may cause the low tire pressure warning light to light up or flash even though Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) operates properly.

- Tire chains are fitted to tires.
- A large amount of snow, ice or mud is attached to the wheels or wheel houses.
- Wheels mounted on the vehicle are not of a genuine type or tires are of other than specified size.
- Tire pressure sensor ID codes for all four tires are not registered in keyless start control module, or a wheel with tire having a tire pressure sensor without its ID registered in keyless start control module is used as a running wheel.
- Vehicle is driven near the place where strong radio wave is emitted.
- Vehicle is driven using a tire repaired with liquid sealants for puncture repair.

- Before using scan tool, read its "Operator's (Instructions) Manual" to know how to use it.
- Be sure to clear all DTCs after completing Troubleshooting.
