Key Cylinder Lamp: Testing and Inspection

INSPECTION




1. INSPECT IGNITION KEY CYLINDER LIGHT (W/ THEFT DETER RENT SYSTEM)
a. Apply battery voltage to the transponder key amplifier connector.




b. Check that the ignition key cylinder light comes on.
If the result is not as specified, replace the transponder key amplifier.




2. INSPECT IGNITION KEY CYLINDER LIGHT (W/O THEFT DETER RENT SYSTEM)
a. Apply battery voltage to the ignition key cylinder light connector.




b. Check that the ignition key cylinder light comes on.
If the result is not as specified, replace the ignition key cylinder light assembly.
