- Cruise Main Indicator Light Circuit
DESCRIPTION
* When the ECM detects a cruise control switch on signal from the cruise control switch, the ECM sends the signal to the combination meter assembly through CAN communication. Then the cruise control indicator light turns on.
* The cruise control indicator light circuit uses CAN communication. If there is a malfunction in this circuit, check for DTCs in the CAN communication system before troubleshooting this circuit.
INSPECTION PROCEDURE
PROCEDURE
1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM (CRUISE MAIN INDICATOR LIGHT)
(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
(b) Turn the ignition switch to ON.
(c) Turn the Techstream on.
(d) Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Combination Meter / Active Test.
(e) According to the display on the Techstream, perform the Active Test.
Combination Meter
OK:
Cruise main indicator light turns on/off.
NG -- GO TO METER / GAUGE SYSTEM How To Proceed With Troubleshooting
OK -- Continue to next step.
2. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (CRUISE CONTROL SWITCH)
(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
(b) Turn the ignition switch to ON.
(c) Turn the Techstream on.
(d) Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Cruise Control / Data List.
(e) According to the display on the Techstream, read the Data List.
Cruise Control
OK:
On screen, item changes between ON and OFF according to above chart.
Result

C -- REPLACE ECM Removal
