SERVICE PROCEDURE:

The following conditions may occur:

^ Tape will not play/eject

^ Radio is completely inoperative

This condition occurs immediately after inserting a cassette into the radio in cool and dry climates.

NOTE:

If a customer's tape is "stuck", do not attempt to remove the tape by hand. Excess force during removal of the tape will damage the tape player mechanism.

To release the tape, remove the Dome fuse for 30 seconds to reset the radio. Eject the cassette, then exchange the radio through Panasonic's exchange program.

EXCHANGE UNIT INFORMATION:

Panasonic began shipping improved exchange units on 5/91. Exchange radios with the countermeasure will have a black mark on the upper right corner of the serial number ID label as shown.
