Warranty - Reimbursement For Specific System Checkers

SUBJECT: REIMBURSEMENT FOR USE OF VEHICLE SYSTEMS CHECKERS AND REFRIGERANT RECOVERY TIME UNDER WARRANTY


To support our dealers' efforts in obtaining Toyota's goal of Number # 1 Customer Satisfaction, the TMS Warranty Department is pleased to announce that effective October 1, 1990 reimbursement will be made for use of specific vehicle systems checkers and refrigerant recovery incurred in conjunction with a warranty repair.



To claim use of checkers or refrigerant recovery time as prescribed in the applicable Toyota repair manuals, the standard operation code for the repair is to be used as well as the combination code listed below. The total labor hours requested on the claim should reflect both the allowable standard labor hours and the allowable time for use of the checker or refrigerant recovery.
Any measurements or readings obtained through use of the checkers must be documented on the repair order as explained in Section 7 of the Policy and Procedures Manual.
