Receiver Dryer: Service and Repair

REMOVAL

Installation is in the reverse order of removal.

1. DISCHARGE REFRIGERANT FROM REFRIGERATION SYSTEM

INSTALLATION HINT: Evacuate air from refrigeration system.

Charge system with refrigerant and inspect for leakage of refrigerant.

Specified amount: 850 ± 50 g (30.00 ± 1.76 oz.)





2. DISCONNECT LIQUID TUBES FROM RECEIVER
Remove the 2 bolts and both tubes.

Torque: 5.4 N.m (55 kgf.cm, 48 in.lbf)

INSTALLATION HINT: Lubricate the new 0-rings with compressor oil to the compressor.

3. REMOVE RECEIVER FROM RECEIVER HOLDER
Remove the holder bolt and pull the receiver upward from the holder.

REMOVAL NOTICE: Cap the open fitting immediately to keep moisture out of system.

INSTALLATION HINT: If receiver was replaced add 20 cc (0.7 fl.oz.) of ND-OIL 8 or equivalent compressor oil to compressor.
