SLOW RETURN OF INSIDE DOOR HANDLES
The inside door handle link rods have been modified to increase the return speed of the inside door handles.

FIELD FIX REPAIR PROCEDURE:
1. Remove door trim panel.
2. Remove inside door handle link rod from bellcrank clip (Fig. 1).
3. Support the link rod by positioning the fingers of your right hand behind the link rod just forward of the bell crank clip to act like spacers. Then push outboard at the bend in the link rod (point A) to straighten the rod with your other hand (Fig. 2).
4. Reconnect the link rod to the bell crank clip and check the return speed of inside door handle. If return speed is still too slow, repeat steps 2-4 above.
NOTE:
Excessive bending of the link rod may cause noisy inside door handle operation.
5. If inside door handle return speed and sound is acceptable, reinstall door trim.
6. Repeat procedure for other doors as necessary.
