Introduction
The rear brake pad material has been changed for 1995 and 1996 Avalons to reduce rear brake "moan" noise. The rear brake pads should be replaced with the new part number listed in the Parts Information table below.

Warranty Information

* Warrantable only for 12 months or 12,500 miles from the date-of-first-use or demo date, whichever occurs first. Coverage is extended to 24 months or 18,000 miles, whichever occurs first, in the state of New York due to "Lemon Law" legislation.

NOTE:
Replacement of brake pad kit and/or shims is limited to correction of a problem based upon customer's complaint and subject to all of the provisions of Toyota Warranty Policy Bulletin P0L94-18, dated October 7, 1994.
