ABS w/ Traction Control
Connecting Terminals For DTC Check:
FLASH CODE METHOD
1. Using Special Service Tool (SST) # 09843 - 18020, connect terminals Tc and E1 of Data Link Connector (DLC)2 or DLC1.
2. Turn the Ignition Switch ON.
Blinking Pattern Codes:
3. Read the Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) from the ABS Warning Light on the combination meter.
NOTE:
- If no code appears, inspect the diagnostic circuit or ABS Warning Light circuit. ABS Warning Light Circuit
- As an example, the blinking patterns for normal code and codes 11 and 21 are shown.
4. Code are explained in the code table.
5. After completing the check, disconnect terminals Tc and E1, and turn off the display.
NOTE: If 2 or more malfunctions are indicated at the same time the lowest numbered DTC will be displayed 1st.
Connecting TOYOTA Hand-Held Tester To DLC2:
SCAN TOOL METHOD
NOTE: Tool Required:
- TOYOTA hand-held tester, or equivalent.
1. Hook up the hand-held tester to the DLC2.
2. Read the DTC by following the prompts on the tester screen.
