ABS w/o Traction Control

DTC Check/Using SST:






FLASH CODE METHOD
1. Using Special Service Tool (SST) # 09843 - 18020, connect terminals Tc and E1 of Data Link Connector (DLC)2 or DLC1.
2. Turn the Ignition Switch ON.

Blinking Patterns For Normal Code/Codes 11 And 21:





3. Read the DTC from the ABS Warning Light and TRAC OFF Indicator Light on the combination meter.

NOTE:
- If no code appears, inspect the diagnostic circuit or ABS Warning Light circuit, TRAC OFF Indicator Light circuit.
- As an example, the blinking patterns for normal code and codes 11 and 21 are shown.

4. Code are explained in the code table.
5. After completing the check, disconnect terminals Tc and E1, and turn off the display. If 2 or more malfunctions are indicated at the same time the lowest numbered DTC will be displayed 1st.

DTC Check Using Hand-Held Tester:





SCAN TOOL METHOD

NOTE: Tool Required:
- TOYOTA hand-held tester, or equivalent.

1. Hook up the hand-held tester to the DLC2.
2. Read the DTC by following the prompts on the tester screen.
