Shift Interlock Switch: Testing and Inspection

Inspect that there is continuity between each terminal.

a. Shift Position: P position (Release button is not pushed):
Tester Connection: 3-1 (P1-P)
Specified Value: Continuity

b. Shift Position: P position (Release button is pushed):
Tester Connection: 3-1 (P1-P), 4-1 (P2-P)
Specified Value: Continuity

c. Shift Position: R, N, D, 2, L position:
Tester Connection: 4-1 (P2-P)
Specified Value: Continuity

If continuity is not as specified, replace the switch.
