Tachometer: Testing and Inspection

TACHOMETER INSPECTION (ON-VEHICLE)
1. Connect a tune-up test tachometer, and start the engine.

NOTICE:
- The connection of the tachometer in reverse will damage the transistors and diodes inside.
- When removing or installing the tachometer, be car eful not to drop or subject it to heavy shocks.







2. Compare the tester and tachometer indications.

DC 13.6 V 25° C (77 ° F)

If error is excessive, replace the tachometer.
