Receiver Dryer: Service and Repair
REMOVAL1. DISCHARGE REFRIGERANT FROM REFRIGERATION SYSTEM
2. DISCONNECT 2 LIQUID TUBES FROM RECEIVER
Remove the 2 bolts and both tubes.
NOTE: Cap the open fittings immediately to keep moisture or dirt out of the system.
3. REMOVE RECEIVER
a. Remove the 2 bolts and receiver with holder.
b. Remove the bolt and receiver from the holder.
INSTALLATION
1. INSTALL RECEIVER
a. Install the receiver to the holder with bolt.
HINT: If receiver is replaced, add compressor oil to receiver.
Add 20 cc (0.71 fl.oz.)
Compressor oil: ND-OIL 8 or equivalent
b. Install the receiver to condenser with 2 bolts.
2. CONNECT 2 LIQUID TUBES
a. Lubricate 2 new O-rings with compressor oil and install them to the tubes.
Compressor oil: ND-OIL 8 or equivalent
b. Connect the both tubes with 2 bolts.
Torque: 5.4 Nm (55 kgf.cm, 48 in.lbf)
3. CHARGE SYSTEM WITH REFRIGERANT
a. Evacuate air from refrigeration system.
b. Charge system with refrigerant.
Specified amount: 800 ± 50 g (28.22 ± 1.76 oz.)
4. INSPECT FOR LEAKAGE OF REFRIGERANT
Using a gas leak detector, check for leakage of refrigerant.
If there is leakage, check the tightening torque at joints.
