Steering angle sensor calibration
Note: This procedure has been updated to reflect the changes made by TSB #ST007-00. Refer to TSBs for additional updates and/or revisions.
This procedure corrects "VSC" and "VSC OFF" lights caused by the following conditions:
Adjusting tie rods for a steering wheel off center
Preforming a four-wheel alignment
Improper calibration of the steering angle sensor
Replacement of the steering angle sensor
Replacement of the VSC ECU
Note: Ensure that the steering wheel is level (on-center) prior to calibration of the steering angle sensor.
1. Using SST connect terminals Ts and E1 of DLC1
2. Turn the ignition switch ON.
3. Verify that the shift lever is in the PARK ("P") range.

If the VSC buzzer sounds, go to step 7
If the VSC buzzer does not sound, go to step 2 and repeat the procedure
HINT: If the VSC buzzer STILL will not sound, there is a malfunction in the steering angle sensor. Check DTC's
7. The sensor calibration is normal and complete.
