AIR CONDITIONER AIR FILTER MAINTENANCE

A new high efficiency Air Conditioner particle filter has been provided on 2000-2004 Model Year Avalon vehicles to help remove dust, pollen and other air impurities. This filter is fitted as standard equipment on the XLS and is also available as a Dealer Installed Option on the XL grade vehicle.

Maintenance Requirements:

NOTE:
The A/C air filter may clog after long use. As a result, if maintenance is not performed as outlined above, the Air Conditioning, Heating and Defogging performance may be reduced.

A/C FILTER REPLACEMENT PROCEDURE:

NOTE:
- The filter edges must be inserted under the hooks on the filter case.
- The filter must be assembled with the "UP" mark on the filter facing the same direction as the same mark on the filter case.
