REPAIR MANUAL SUPPLEMENT: INSTALLATION OF THE NO. 2 LOWER SUSPENSION ARM

This bulletin provides a revised repair procedure for the No. 2 lower suspension arm on the 2002 model year Solara and 2000 - 2002 Avalon vehicles.

APPLICABLE VEHICLES:
- 2002 model year Solara vehicles.
- 2000-2002 model year Avalon vehicles.

REPAIR PROCEDURE:

Install No. 2 Lower Suspension Arm
A. Install the No. 2 lower suspension arm.







NOTE:
- Orient the No. 2 lower suspension arm so that the turnbuckle is closer to the center of the vehicle.
- Ensure the paint mark faces the rear of the vehicle.

B. Install the washers and nuts in the proper location (See illustration above).
Torque: 181 N-m (1850 kgf-cm, 134 ft-lbf)

NOTE:
Torque the nut after stabilizing the suspension by jouncing the vehicle.
