Warranty Information

Applicable Warranty*:
This repair is covered under the Toyota Basic Warranty. This warranty is in effect for 36 months or 36,000 miles, whichever occurs first, from the vehicle's in-service date.

* Warranty application is limited to correction of a problem based upon a customer's specific complaint

Repair Procedure

1. Use a plastic pry tool to carefully lift the Roof Drip Side Finish Center Molding at the windshield side. Lift about 4 to 6 inches to allow access to the roof panel seam. (See Figures 1 and 2.)

2. Mask the roof to protect the paint.

3. Clean the area under the root molding with solvent (See Figure 3.)

4. Apply sealant to any exposed gaps where the body panels meet. Assure sealant is also applied close to the windshield.

5. Allow the sealant to cure.

6. Apply adhesive to the roof molding and the roof. Position the roof molding and apply pressure to the molding. (See Figure 4.)

7. Allow the adhesive to dry.
