INTRODUCTION
Materials have been added to reduce wind noise. For vehicles produced prior to the VINs listed below, follow the repair procedure in this bulletin.

APPLICABLE WARRANTY*:
This repair is covered under the Toyota Basic Warranty. This warranty is in effect for 36 months or 36,000 miles, whichever occurs first, from the vehicle's in-service date.

* Warranty application is limited to correction of a problem based upon a customer's specific complaint.

REPAIR PROCEDURE:
Whistle Noise from Outer Mirror (Left A-Pillar)

To reduce the whistling noise from the outer mirror at the left A-Pillar:





1. Fold the outer mirror to expose the cavities as shown in the illustration.





2. Cut EPT Sealer (Caulking Sponge) from the Wind Noise kit in the dimensions shown, and install in the mirror cavities as shown in the illustration.

REPAIR PROCEDURE:
Turbulence Noise from Right B-Pillar Glass Run

To reduce the turbulence noise caused by the clearance between the glass and the glass run at the rear of the right front door, follow these steps:

1. Remove the door trim panel.

2. Loosen the bolts on the door glass.





3. Pull the rear portion of the glass run upward and out of the rear lower frame.





4. Cut EPT Sealer (Caulking Sponge) in the dimensions indicated and install it as shown in the illustration.

5. Slide the glass run back into the rear lower frame.

6. Reassemble the vehicle in the reverse order of disassembly.
