CONVERTIBLE TOP POPPING NOISE

Some customers may experience a snapping or popping noise when opening the convertible top. A field fix has been developed to improve this condition.

APPLICABLE VEHICLES:
2000 - 2001 model year Solara Convertible vehicles.

REPAIR PROCEDURE:

Previous TSB BC-00-0015 should correct most of the field concerns. However, in some cases, additional service improvements may be made.





1. Check the tarpaulin retainer (rear seat protector) gap where the front edge of the boot attaches. If the gap is greater than 5.02 mm it should be replaced with a new part.
2. Replace the tarpaulin back window assembly (with deflector) P/N 64810 AA011-C0 or 64810-AA011-E0.
3. Refer to the 2000 model year Camry Solara Convertible Repair Manual.
