Removal Procedure

1. Remove Driver's Side Junction Block.

A. Remove the connectors 2G, 2D, and 2K.

B. Remove the 3 nuts holding the driver's side Junction Block in place.

NOTE:
The disconnection of connectors 2G, 2D and 2K are critical to the removal of the plate assembly.

2. Remove Harness and Plate Protective Covers.

A. Using a flat head screwdriver, release the 4 clamps and remove the harness cover.

CAUTION
The clamps are fragile. Care should be exercised when removing the clamps so as not to damage them.

NOTE:
Tape the blade of the screwdriver to prevent possible damage to parts.

B. Using the flat head screwdriver, release the 4 clamps and remove the plate cover.

C. Remove the plate assembly.

CAUTION:
The metal "A" and "B" terminals are retained by the "plate housing" and "terminal fastening plate."

(NOTE:
Both of these plates are beige in color and must remain clipped together during disassembly of this connector.)

If the "plate housing" and "terminal fastening plate" are not positively snapped together or they are taken apart, the metal "A" and "B" terminal locations may be compromised, causing dislocation of the "A" and "B" terminals. To prevent this from occurring, remove the entire stack of plates as a unit, including all white plates and the beige colored "plate housing" and "terminal fastening plate," ensuring that they all remain clipped together.

Please refer to the Plate Assembly Reassembling Procedure in this bulletin to determine the correct terminal position for instances in which the "plate housing" and "terminal fastening plate" have been separated and the metal "A" and "B" terminals have become unseated.

D. For reinstallation of the plate assembly please perform the steps of the removal procedure in reverse order.
