M.I.L. "ON" DTC P0031, P0051, P2238 OR P2241
Under certain driving conditions, some 2003 model year Camry vehicles with V6 engines may exhibit a M.I.L. "ON" with at least one of the following DTCs as a result of an Air Fuel (A/F) Sensor manufacturing issue.
- P0031 (Oxygen Sensor Heater Control Circuit Low [Bank 1, Sensor 1])
- P0051 (Oxygen Sensor Heater Control Circuit Low [Bank 2, Sensor 1])
- P2238 (Oxygen Sensor Pumping Current Circuit Low (for A/F Sensor) [Bank 1, Sensor 1])
- P2241 (Oxygen Sensor Pumping Current Circuit Low (for A/F Sensor) [Bank 2, Sensor 1])
Replacement of the affected Air Fuel Sensor will correct this condition.
APPLICABLE VEHICLES:
2003 model year Camry vehicles equipped with V6 engines produced BEFORE the Production Change Effective VINs shown.

P0031 or P0051
1. Refer to ETAS, 2003 Camry Repair Manual:
Section: Diagnostics;
Sub-Section: SFI System (1MZ--FE) P0031, P0032, P0051, P0052.
2. If there is an open circuit or excessive resistance in A/F Sensor heater, and DTC P0031 or P0051 is stored, replace the A/F sensor.
3. Only replace the A/F Sensor indicated by the M.I.L. "ON" DTC(s).
P2238 or P2241
1. Refer to ETAS, 2003 Camry Repair Manual:
Section: Diagnostics;
Sub-Section: SFI System (1MZ--FE) P2237, P2238, P2239, P2240, P2241, P2242.
2. If there is an open circuit in A/F Sensor heater and DTC P2238 or P2241 is stored, replace the A/F sensor.
3. Only replace the A/F Sensor indicated by the M.I.L. "ON" DTC(s).
