Title:
DRL RELAY CHECK AFTER LOW/DEAD BATTERY

Models:
'03 Corolla & Matrix

TSB REVISION NOTICE:
February 24, 2003: "NOTE" below Introduction added for clarification.
The previous TSB should be discarded.

Introduction

If the battery in 2003 model year Corolla and Matrix vehicles is allowed to discharge to a point where the vehicle will no longer start, a check of headlight operation should be performed. In some cases, a depleted battery may result in damage to the DRL Relay. An updated Daytime Running Light Relay has been created to address this situation.

NOTE:
If all functions of the lighting system (low beam, high beam and DRLs) are working properly, the DRL Relay should be considered GOOD and should NOT be replaced.

Applicable Vehicles
