INTRODUCTION:
Some 2003-2008 Corolla vehicles may exhibit a condition where water condensation drips from the gap between the headliner and front A-pillar garnish. The condition is mostly noticeable in freezing temperatures.
Use the following repair procedure to correct this condition.

REPAIR PROCEDURE:
1. Inspect vehicle for signs of water leakage around both front A-pillar garnishes.
2. Confirm if the water stains can be easily removed by wiping/cleaning.
- If Yes - Continue with step 3.
- If No - Order a new A-pillar garnish and proceed to step 3.

3. Remove the front A-pillar garnish.

4. Using a screwdriver, remove the front pillar garnish LH. Perform the same operation on the RH side.

HINT:
Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

5. Wipe down the front A-pillar beams with a dry towel.







6. Drill holes in the Ribs on the backside of the A-pillar Garnish in order to drain water condensation. Perform the same operation on the opposite side.







NOTE
- Drill a 3mm diameter hole in the top 3 ribs of the A-Pillar Garnish.
- The hole should be as close as possible to the back surface of A-Pillar Garnish. Drill direction is indicated in figure 3.
- Be sure not to leave any burrs after drilling the holes.

7. Install the front A-pillar garnish in the reverse order of removal. Perform the same operation on the opposite side.
