Introduction
Some 2005 - 2007 model year Avalon customers may complain that the windshield washer low fluid light is illuminated and that fluid is leaking out under the front of the vehicle. The leak may be caused by the washer hose having fallen off or separated from the washer pump. Use the following repair procedure to improve this condition.

Applicable Warranty*:
This repair is covered under the Toyota Comprehensive Warranty. This warranty is in effect for 36 months or 36,000 miles, whichever occurs first, from the vehicle's in-service date.
* Warranty application is limited to correction of a problem based upon a customer's specific complaint.
Repair Procedure
1. Remove the RH side plastic engine under cover (5 bolts and 3 push clips).
2. Install the NEW 40-mm (1.6-inch) long section of hose to the washer pump.
3. Install the NEW washer joint to the 40-mm (1.6-inch) long NEW hose.
IMPORTANT:
Make sure that the smaller diameter end of the joint is attached to the NEW section of hose.
4. Install the existing washer hose to the NEW joint.
5. Fill the washer reservoir.
6. Check that there are NO leaks.
7. Install the RH side plastic engine under cover (5 bolts and 3 push clips).
