HINT: If a malfunction code is displayed during the DTC check, check the circuit indicated by the DTC. For details of each code, refer to the "DTC No." in the DTC Chart.

Even after the trouble areas are repaired, the ABS warning light will not go off unless the following operations are performed.

- *1:
1. Drive the vehicle at 12 mph (20 km/h) for 30 seconds or more and check that the ABS warning light goes off.
2. Clear the DTC.

- *2:
1. Keep the vehicle in a stationary condition for 5 seconds or more and depress the brake pedal lightly 2 or 3 times.
2. Drive the vehicle at a vehicle speed of 31 mph (50 km/h) and keep depressing the brake pedal strongly for about 3 seconds.
3. Repeat the above operation 3 times or more and check that the ABS warning light goes off.
4. Clear the DTC.

HINT: In some cases, the hand-held tester cannot be used when the ABS warning light remains on.
