Some 2004 and 2005 model year Echo vehicles may exhibit a M.I.L. "ON" condition with diagnostic trouble code (DTC) P0325 (Knock Sensor 1 Circuit, Bank 1 or Single Sensor) in the Engine Control Module (ECM) (SAE term: Powertrain Control Module/PCM). The knock control sensor has been improved to reduce this condition.
APPLICABLE VEHICLES:
- 2004 - 2005 model year Echo vehicles produced BEFORE the Production Change Effective VINs shown below.

REPAIR PROCEDURE:
1. Conduct knock sensor circuit checks according to ETAS applicable model year Echo Repair Manual:
Section: Diagnostics;
Subsection: Engine Control System; Knock Sensor
2. If the problem source cannot be located, replace knock sensor according to ETAS applicable model year Echo Repair Manual:
Section: Diagnostics;
Subsection: Engine Control System; Knock Sensor
