Introduction
Some customers may have difficulty smoothly closing or latching the convertible top due to misalignment of the centering pin and receiver brackets. The following repair procedure has been developed to properly align the convertible top receiver brackets for a smooth operation condition.

APPLICABLE WARRANTY
^ This repair is covered under the Toyota Comprehensive Warranty. This warranty is in effect for 36 months or 36,000 miles, whichever occurs first, from the vehicle's in-service date.
^ Warranty application is limited to correction of a problem based upon a customer's specific complaint.

Repair Procedure
1. Unlatch and fully open the convertible top.
2. Remove the LH visor assembly.
A. Using the molding remover disengage the three (3) claws and remove the cover.
B. Remove the two (2) screws and visor.
3. Remove the RH visor assembly.
A. Using the molding remover disengage the three (3) claws and remove the cover.
B. Remove the two (2) screws and visor.
4. Remove the visor holder by turning it counterclockwise.
5. Remove the map lamp assembly.
A. Using a screwdriver disengage the four (4) claws and remove the lens.
Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
B. Remove the two (2) screws and map lamp.
6. Remove the roof headlining assembly. Using a clip remover disengage the two (2) clips.
7. Loosen the LH and RH receiver bracket bolts.
Using a 6 mm socket loosen the receiver bolts enough to allow for adjustment.
8. Close the convertible top and latch shut.
A. Fully close the convertible top and latch the top shut allowing the receiver brackets to align themselves.
B. Torque the receiver bolts.
Torque: 5.6-10.4 N*m (57-106 kgf*cm, 50-92 in*lbf)
9. Unlatch and fully open the convertible top.
10. Reassemble in reverse order of disassembly.
