REPLACEMENT

HINT: Installation is in the reverse order of removal.




1. TABLE OF BOLT, SCREW AND NUT

HINT: All bolts, screws and nuts relevant to installing and removing the instrument panel are shown along with their alphabet code in the table.

2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
Wait for 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable to prevent the airbag working.
3. REMOVE STEERING WHEEL COVER LOWER NO.2
4. REMOVE STEERING WHEEL COVER LOWER NO.3
5. REMOVE HORN BUTTON ASSEMBLY
6. REMOVE STEERING WHEEL ASSEMBLY

SST 09950-50013 (09951-05010, 09952-05010, 09953-05020, 09954-05021)

7. REMOVE STEERING COLUMN COVER
8. REMOVE TURN SIGNAL SWITCH ASSEMBLY W/SPIRAL CABLE SUB-ASSEMBLY




9. REMOVE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL GARNISH NO.1
a. Using a moulding remover to disengage the 2 clips and remove the instrument cluster finish panel garnish No.1.




10. REMOVE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL GARNISH NO.2
a. Using a moulding remover to disengage the 4 clips and remove the instrument cluster finish panel garnish No.2.




11. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PLATE (W/O SMART KEY SYSTEM)
a. Remove the instrument panel finish plate.




12. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY
a. Using a moulding remover, disengage the 4 claws and 6 clips then remove the instrument panel sub-assembly.
b. Disconnect the connectors then remove the instrument panel sub-assembly.

13. REMOVE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY CENTER
14. REMOVE RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY W/ BRACKET




15. REMOVE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY
a. Remove the 4 screws or .

b. Using a moulding remover, disengage the 5 clips and remove the instrument cluster finish panel sub-assembly.

16. REMOVE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY
a. Remove the 4 screws .
b. Pull out the combination meter assembly, then disconnect the connectors.

17. REMOVE ACCESSORY METER ASSEMBLY
a. Remove the 4 screws .
b. Pull out the accessory meter assembly, then disconnect the connectors.

18. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL REGISTER ASSEMBLY NO.1
a. Disengage the 4 clips and remove the instrument panel register assembly No.1.

19. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL REGISTER ASSEMBLY NO.4
a. Disengage the 6 claws and remove the instrument panel register assembly No.4.

20. REMOVE SPEAKER HOLE COVER NO.1
a. Using a moulding remover, disengage the 12 claws and remove the speaker hole cover No.1.

21. REMOVE STEREO COMPONENT SPEAKER ASSEMBLY FRONT
22. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM SUB-ASSEMBLY LH
23. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM SUB-ASSEMBLY RH
24. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH
25. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH

26. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY NO.2
a. Push the 4 claws in the direction indicated by the arrow to disengage then and remove the guide on the front of the vehicle.
b. Disconnect the connectors and remove the instrument panel under cover sub-assembly No.2.

27. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH LOWER PANEL RH
a. Remove the bolt and 4 screws or .
b. Disengage the 2 claws and clip and remove the instrument panel finish lower panel RH.

28. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH LOWER PANEL LH
a. Disconnect the hood lock control cable.
b. Remove the bolt and screw .
c. Disengage the 7 claws and 4 clips.
d. Disconnect the connectors and remove the instrument panel finish lower panel LH.

29. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL AIRBAG ASSEMBLY LOWER NO.1

30. REMOVE SHIFT LEVER KNOB SUB-ASSEMBLY
a. Turn the shift lever knob sub-assembly in the direction indicated by the arrow and remove it.

31. REMOVE POSITION INDICATOR HOUSING ASSEMBLY
a. Disengage the 4 claws and remove the position indicator housing assembly.

32. REMOVE SEAT HEATER SWITCH (W/ SEAT HEATER)
a. Disengage the 4 claws and remove the seat heater switch.

33. REMOVE CONSOLE PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY UPPER
a. Disengage the 6 claws and remove the console upper box. (w/ box)
b. Disengage the 10 clips.
c. Disconnect the connectors and remove the console upper panel sub-assembly.

d. Remove the tape player assembly. (w/ tape player)

34. REMOVE CONSOLE BOX CARPET

35. REMOVE CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY
a. Disconnect the connector.
b. Remove the 2 bolts and 2 screws then the console box assembly.

36. REMOVE CONSOLE BOX FRONT
a. Remove the 2 nuts and screw .
b. Disengage the 2 claws and remove the console front box.

37. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL LOWER CENTER
a. Remove the 2 screws .
b. Disengage the 2 clips and remove the instrument panel finish lower panel center.

38. REMOVE INSTRUMENT SIDE PANEL LH
a. Disengage the 7 claws and remove the instrument side panel LH.

39. REMOVE INSTRUMENT SIDE PANEL RH
a. Disengage the 4 claws and 2 clips then remove the instrument side panel RH.

40. REMOVE FRONT PILLAR GARNISH LH
41. REMOVE FRONT PILLAR GARNISH RH
42. DISCONNECT FRONT PASSENGER AIRBAG ASSEMBLY CONNECTOR

43. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL SAFETY PAD SUB-ASSEMBLY W/FRONT PASSENGER AIRBAG ASSEMBLY
a. Disconnect the connectors.
b. Remove the 2 bolts and 2 nuts .
c. Remove the 2 clamps.
d. Disengage the 5 claws and remove the instrument panel safety pad sub-assembly with front passenger airbag assembly.

44. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL PIN NO.1
a. Remove the screw or and instrument panel pin No.1.

45. REMOVE HEATER TO REGISTER DUCT NO.1
a. Remove the 3 screws or and heater to register duct No.1.

46. REMOVE HEATER TO REGISTER DUCT NO.3

HINT: Use the same procedures for the heater to register duct No.3 and the heater to register duct No.1.

47. REMOVE SIDE DEFROSTER NOZZLE DUCT NO.1
a. Remove the screw or and side defroster nozzle duct No.1.

48. REMOVE SIDE DEFROSTER NOZZLE DUCT NO.2

HINT: Use the same procedures for the side defroster nozzle duct No.2 and the side defroster nozzle duct No.1.

49. REMOVE DEFROSTER NOZZLE ASSEMBLY
a. Remove the 3 screws or and defroster nozzle assembly.

50. REMOVE SIDE DEFROSTER NOZZLE LH
a. Disengage the 2 claws and remove the side defroster nozzle LH.

51. REMOVE SIDE DEFROSTER NOZZLE RH

HINT: Use the same procedures for the side defroster nozzle RH and the side defroster nozzle LH.

52. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL BRACKET SUB-ASSEMBLY CENTER
a. Remove the 2 screws or and instrument panel bracket sub-assembly center.

53. REMOVE FRONT PASSENGER AIRBAG ASSEMBLY

54. REMOVE GLOVE BOX LIGHT ASSEMBLY
a. Disengage the 2 claws and remove the glove box lamp assembly.

55. REMOVE ANTENNA CORD SUB-ASSEMBLY
56. REMOVE NAVIGATION ANTENNA ASSEMBLY

57. REMOVE AUTOMATIC LIGHT CONTROL SENSOR
a. Remove automatic light control sensor.

NOTE: Do not pry the automatic light control sensor off from the upper position.

58. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL SAFETY PAD SUB-ASSEMBLY

59. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL SAFETY PAD SUB-ASSEMBLY W/FRONT PASSENGER AIRBAG ASSEMBLY
a. Engage the 5 claws.
b. Install the 2 bolts and 2 nuts .
c. Install the 2 clamps.

Torque :
Bolt : 20 N.m (204 kgf.cm, 15 ft.lbf)

60. ADJUST SPIRAL CABLE SUB-ASSEMBLY
61. INSTALL STEERING WHEEL ASSEMBLY
62. INSTALL HORN BUTTON ASSEMBLY
63. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
64. PERFORM INITIALIZATION
Some systems need initialization when disconnecting the cable from the negative battery terminal.
65. INSPECT HORN BUTTON ASSEMBLY
66. INSPECT SRS WARNING LIGHT
