Inspection

INSPECTION







1. HEADLIGHT DIMMER SWITCH ASSEMBLY
a. Inspect the light control switch.
1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table.




b. Inspect the headlight dimmer switch.
1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table.




c. Inspect the turn signal switch.
1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table.




d. Inspect the front fog light switch.
1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table.




e. Inspect the rear fog light switch.
1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table.







2. HAZARD WARNING SIGNAL SWITCH ASSEMBLY
a. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table.




3. FRONT DOOR COURTESY LIGHT SWITCH ASSEMBLY
a. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table.




4. REAR DOOR COURTESY LIGHT SWITCH ASSEMBLY
a. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table.







5. LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY
a. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table.







6. HEADLIGHT RELAY
a. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table.







7. MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY
a. Inspect the map light assembly in the overhead J/B.
1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table.




8. TRANSPONDER KEY AMPLIFIER
a. Inspect key cylinder light operation.
1. Connect the (+) lead from the battery to terminal 2 and the (-) lead to terminal 6, and check that the light comes on.

Standard: The light comes on




9. LH VISOR ASSEMBLY
a. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table.




10. RH VISOR ASSEMBLY
a. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table.




11. REAR ROOM LIGHT ASSEMBLY
a. Connect the (+) lead from the battery to terminal 3 and the (-) lead to terminal 2, and check that the rear room light comes on when the switch is in the ON position.

OK: The light comes on.

b. Connect the (+) lead from the battery to terminal 3 and the (-) lead to terminal 1, and check that the rear room light comes on when the switch is in the DOOR position.

OK: The light comes on.




12. COURTESY LIGHT ASSEMBLY
a. Inspect the courtesy light.
1. Connect the (+) lead from the battery to terminal 2 and the (-) lead to terminal 1, then check that the courtesy light comes on.

OK: The light comes on.




13. LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT LIGHT ASSEMBLY
a. Inspect the luggage compartment light.
1. Connect the (+) lead from the battery to terminal 1 and the (-) lead to terminal 2, then check that the luggage compartment light comes on.

OK: The light comes on.







14. STOP LIGHT SWITCH ASSEMBLY
a. Inspect the stop light switch assembly.
1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table.
