INTRODUCTION:
Some customers may experience the Daytime Running Lights (DRL) staying on after the ignition is turned off. A new engine room Junction Block assembly is now available to address this condition. Use the following procedure to replace the Junction Block assembly.
APPLICABLE VEHICLES:
- 2005 - 2006 model year Avalon and 2007 Camry vehicles produced BEFORE the Production Change Effective VINs shown below.

REPAIR PROCEDURE:
1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
2. Remove the engine room Junction Block cover.
3. Remove the Junction Block mounting bolt.
4. Remove the Junction Block assembly from the Junction Block housing.
HINT:
Depress both clips simultaneously while lifting up on the Junction Block.
5. Remove the Junction Block and disconnect the 6 connectors.
6. Install the NEW Junction Block. Installation is the reverse order of removal.
7. Reconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.
8. Verify normal operation of the Daytime Running Lights.
9. Re-initialize affected power system.
