INTRODUCTION:
Some vehicles may exhibit a condition where the rear door window switch base lifting on the door trim armrest. On some vehicles, the armrest material interferes with the switch base. Use the repair procedure below to improve this condition.

This TSB applies to vehicles produced BEFORE the Production Change Effective VINs shown.

REPAIR PROCEDURE:







1. Remove the door trim switch base.
A. Using a plastic pry tool, disengage the 2 clips and 4 claws, and then remove the armrest base panel upper with the power window regulator master switch.
B. Disconnect the switch connector.







2. Using a sharp knife, add relief cuts to the rear corners of the door trim armrest opening for the switch base as shown in the illustration.

NOTICE:
Be careful NOT to cut all the way to the corner of the armrest opening. This will cause a poor appearance if the slit is visible when the switch base is installed.

3. Reinstall the door trim switch base and ensure a proper fit.
