INTRODUCTION:
Some 2005 - 2008 model year Corolla and Matrix vehicles may exhibit a rattle noise from the fuel tank protector. The fuel tank protector band (RH) has been improved to correct this condition.

PARTS INFORMATION:

REPAIR PROCEDURE:
1. Inspect and verify the noise is from the fuel tank protector.
2. Inspect the fuel tank protector to fuel tank band mounting location. If it is loose/damaged, proceed to step 3.If the mounting location is OK, this TSB does NOT apply.
3. Remove the fuel tank protector.
4. Remove and replace the RH fuel tank band.
5. Inspect the fuel tank protector for damage and replace if necessary.
6. Install the fuel tank protector.







7. Confirm normal vehicle operation and verify NO rattle noises are present.
