Lightweight and High Rigid Body

1. High Strength Sheet Steel

High strength sheet steel has been used in order to ensure body rigidity and realize a lightweight body.

2. Body Shell





^ The roof panel is constructed with 5 reinforcements in order to increase the rigidity of the roof panel and reduce vibration.

However, the reinforcements fitted on the moon roof model are shaped and arranged differently.

^ A cowl top inner reinforcement has been placed inside the cowl top panel, and a cowl inner top to pillar brace has been provided to join the front pillars to the cowl top panel. Therefore, the area from the front pillar to the front suspension tower has been reinforced. As a result, vibration in the area from the front windshield to the steering has been reduced and the rigidity of the front suspension tower has been ensured.

^ A roof side inner rail has been placed in the front pillar, and a reinforcement has been provided in the area where the roof side inner rail and the front windshield header are joined, to ensure rigidity.





^ cross member and a dash cowl brace have been placed in the dash panel to reduce the vibration of the dash panel. Furthermore, a dash panel No. 2 reinforcement has been placed at the bottom of the floor tunnel to reduce the vibration of the front floor.





^ By making the configuration of the floor tunnel straight, dividing the floor panel in 6 sheets and making their structure rounded, rigidity has been improved and road noise reduced.

Also, by adopting the floor brace in the floor tunnel, driveability and tranquility in the compartment are improved.
