INTRODUCTION:
Some customers may experience a thump noise coming from a combination of the rear upper supports and rear shock absorbers when traveling over bumps or rough road surfaces. Updated rear upper supports and rear shock absorber service parts are available to improve the noise condition.
APPLICABLE VEHICLES:
- 2004 - 2006 model year Solara vehicles.

REPAIR PROCEDURE:
1. Conduct a road test to verify the noise condition.
2. Remove and replace both rear upper supports and both rear shock absorbers by following the procedures in ETAS:
- 2004 or 2005 model year Solara Repair Manual: Rear Suspension: Rear Shock Absorber With Col Spring: Replacement.
NOTE:
